Leica Camera AG strengthens centralised corporate communication
In view of the ongoing successful growth and the increasingly international orientation of the company, Leica Camera AG has restructured and increased the human resources of its central corporate communication. With immediate effect, Holger Thurm (42), the new head of corporate communications, holds responsibility for the global media and PR activities of the camera and sport optics manufacturer in Wetzlar in the German state of Hesse. In this function, he reports directly to the CEO, Mr Alfred Schopf.
Holger Thurm has been involved with Leica Camera AG for several years in an advisory function. He was previously employed in the communication division of a leading German automobile manufacturer and as a radio and print editor.
In the course of the restructuring of corporate communications, the partnerships and cultural projects department will also be strengthened. This department will be headed by Andreas Dippel (39), who was until recently media relations officer at the company.
