China captured in black and white pictures
China is at the heart of the current LFI. In delicate black and white images, Chinese photographer Jing Huang captures his everyday surroundings – sensitively observed and imbued with melancholy beauty. A further two features are dedicated to breathtaking panoramic views of China. The work of German photographer HG Esch – who captures Chinese cityscapes with a Leica S attached to a drone – is juxtaposed with images by aviation pioneer Count Wulf-Diether of Castell-Rüdenhausen. Also included in the issue: the new Summilux-M 28 mm, winners of the Classic Cars Photo Contest, and a revisit of the historic Leica IIIf, introduced in 1950.
