Collaboration by Leica and FCDA
Leica and FCDA present video essays by famous photojournalists

Focus on the Present

Leica proudly features a series of independently produced multimedia essays documenting the political and social transformation America is currently facing. Core to the collaboration with FCDA are the personal journeys of well-established journalists and photographers as they travel throughout the US and generate photos using the latest Leica equipment.

‘Facing Change: Documenting America’ (FCDA), founded in 2009 by the Pulitzer Prize-winning photographers Lucian Perkins and Anthony Suau, is a non-profit collective of dedicated photographers and writers producing and publishing collections on under-reported aspects of America's most urgent issues, while highlighting the efforts of individuals and organisations working to affect positive change. Focusing on America's diversity, FCDA covers the nation's most pressing concerns, including health care, immigration, the mortgage crisis, obesity and the war on terror.

The results are an impressive collection of visual and textual narratives accessible through an innovative online platform, enabling direct dialogue with America on many stories and issues. FCDA is publishing its work via the multimedia online platform: www.facingchange.org .

We invite you to follow the series, learn from the photographers and share in their personal experiences.
