Find inspiration on the streets of Seattle and Bellevue, W.A. with street photographer, Phil Penman, on April 18th-19th. 

Drawing inspiration directly from Phil’s experience documenting the people and urban landscape of New York over the past 25 years, this two-day workshop will focus on environmental portraits – with particular emphasis on the portraiture of strangers – on location.

Attendees will discover new photographic perspectives while exploring techniques for approaching potential subjects for “on-the-spot” street portraiture. Beginning with classroom presentation before moving on to practical hands-on instruction, Phil will escort us throughout the city, highlighting photographic opportunities and his approach to light and composition.

"Street" by Phil Penman | Artist Reception & Talk

Phil will be hosting an artist reception and talk to talk about his latest book "Street" at Leica Store Boston on April 17th, beginning at 7:30 PM. The book documents his life as a celebrity street photographer documenting the lives of the rich and famous and how the book came to life, from the highs of getting a publisher to the stress of finances.
